Again, few new interesting items this week (see below), and a repeat of the announcement of a very special tasting event to be held on Friday May 21st . . . as follows:
A Once-in-a-Lifetime Italian Wine Tasting Event
Join your friends and neighbors in Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, and Carroll Gardens for a special wine tasting event on Friday night, May 21st, 7:00-9:00 pm, featuring all 20 Italian provinces, with a white and a red from each province. The venue is Christ Church, at the corner of Clinton and Kane Sts., and the venue should be attraction enough: the church is landmarked, celebrating its 175th anniversary this year; its redecoration in 1916 was the last personal commission undertaken by Louis Comfort Tiffany and most of the interior is his work. Tasting is a benefit for the Linden Tree Pre-school; $35 in advance, $40 at the door. You may pay in advance with credit card by calling Heights Chateau, 718-330-0963.
