Intense and fruit-forward, with gentle tannins and subtle oak
Oberto 2008 Barbera @ $14.99
A polished, elegant Barbera with lots of berry flavors and a hint of tobacco
Urban 2007 Ribera del Duero @ $15.99
100% Tempranillo, smooth-textured and easy on the palate
Etude 2007 Pinot Noir @ $47.99
A lively, fresh Pinot, juicy but not particularly fleshy, in the style of the vintage
 
NEW ROSES:
Charles & Charles 2009 Rose @ $12.99
The second vintage from the two named Charles, Frenchman Charles Bieler and Washington state's Charles Smith, 100% Syrah, starts with a nice tang and then goes bone-dry
Shinn Estate 2009 Rose @ $13.99
From Long Island's North Fork, Merlot-based with some Cabernet Franc, with bright clean berry flavors and a minerally, earthy edge
